Parc Astérix is located about 40 kilometers north of Paris. The park is dominated by the invincible Gallic comic duo Astérix & Obelix, with the accompanying humor and well-known characters. The amusement park consists of 6 themed areas, full of humorous details, as you are used to from Astérix & Obelix. You step into the comic strip in the Gallic village. Penetrate into the Roman Empire and become a soldier in the legion. Take a trip to Egypt or discover the mythology of ancient Greece. Test your courage and defy the Vikings and go back in time: stroll through the streets of Paris, from the Middle Ages to the 19th century.

In the amusement park you will find 35 attractions, including a number of impressive roller coasters such as Tonnerre de Zeus and OzIris. Tonnerre de Zeus is considered one of the best wooden roller coasters in the world. Hanging roller coaster OzIris rises forty meters from an Egyptian temple. This is followed by a lightning-fast ride with 5 loops and 3 tunnels.

Enjoy 3 spectacular live shows, including an amazing water ballet, performed by the dolphins of the Théâtre de Poséidon. The Roman legion in the Arena has guts and show themselves to be true acrobats. The stunt show "Main Basse sur La Joconde" is all about "la Joconde", the nickname of the Mona Lisa. The world-famous painting is on its way to the Metropolitan Museum in New York, but a gang tries to steal the masterpiece. Painter Marcel tries to prevent the brutal robbery. What follows is a humorous stunt show of almost half an hour with three cars, a motorcycle, a train and a sidecar.
